Description
Summary:The paving block is a type of pavement that is permeable and has an aesthetic value at the time of its application. Paving blocks themselves have various shapes and sizes. When compared to other forms, rectangular paving blocks have various installation patterns. However, from the various installation patterns that can be formed, certainly have different impacts on flooding. Infiltration parameters and concentration time. In this study, the phi-index method was used to determine the volume of rainwater lost due to infiltration. The test sample is in the form of an area of 4 m2 with paving block pavement. For the installation pattern used, namely stacking bricks and herringbone 45o. From the two patterns, different fillers are given, which are normal and fine. The 4 samples were tested based on several slope conditions ranging from 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. In the field, the use of paving blocks can reduce flooding by nearly 60%. This of course has an impact on the cost of the drainage channel. In the ITB-Jatinangor parking lot, the cost needed to make a drainage channel with the paving block is Rp 375.199.320,00.
