The result of reflux was isolated and purificated by coloumn chromatography. The isolate was characterizated by thin-layer chromatography, ultraviolet light and infrared spectrophotometry. The isolate showed a different TLC profile and infrared spectrum to that of glybenclamide. The isolate was predicted to be a methyl N-4-[2-(5-chloro-2-methoxybenzamido)ethyl] benzenesulphonylcarbamat. <br /> text |
