To ensure loading and unloadings of containers are done condusively, breakwater is needed to create calm waters at the harbor pool. In this final project, the design of a box-type floating breakwater structure made up of reinforced concrete with polystyrene core and concrete ballast will be carried out. Heave and roll response were calculated with design wave height of 2.425 meters and wave period of 6.921 second. The result of maximum heave response calculation is 0.534 meter and maximum roll response calculation is 6.81 degrees. Transmission wave coefficient was calculated with energy flux flowing inside the channel created between the base of the structure and seabed, assuming that the structure response doesn’t generate wave. The result of transmission wave coefficient calculation is 0.198 with transmission wave height of 0.481 meters. Catenary mooring system analysis was conducted with maximum tidal current of 0.422 meter per second. Mooring line was in the form of stud chain with a proof load of 166 kN. The result of catenary mooring system analysis on highest tide are mooring line length of 14.265 meters and anchor weight of 2197.969 kg. text |
