Piyungan Landfill have an area = 92660 m2, total volume = 1776224 m3, present volume = 723706 m3. For anticipating that problem, required solid waste process in Piyungan final disposal with the recycle and composting. The recycling and composting are important components in solid waste management that will minimize ecollogical effect. This research aims to plan improvement solid waste process in Piyungan final disposal with recycle and composting, time limits landfill service with improvement solid waste process, and its benefit, feasibility and the impact of final disposal The results show that solid waste dump through Piyungan landfill are 1508 m3/day, recycle by a scavenger are 8,95%, and pet feed of livestock are 0,7% from the total solid waste dump through Piyungan final disposal. To plan improvement solid waste process in Piyungan final disposal are: 1). through composting are 120 m3/day and it doesnt rise up for the production since of the limited of the area for only 8900 m2; 2). using the soil covering are 20% from total solid waste compacted and 3). settlement factor are 10% from total volume of solid waste after compaction, so time limits lanfill service until 2013. Recycle by scavenger are 8,95% from the solid waste dump through Piyungan final disposal. The economical profit of the activity of rubbish recycling is Rp. 22.559 and has value R/C ratio 3,26. So that the solid waste scavenging activity in Piyungan final are feasible and make the scavenger have an economic benefits. Bussines of garbage composting has value Payback Period (PP) 14,05; Net Present Value (NPV) Rp (2.489.348.234) and Profitability Index (PI) 0,07, so bussines of garbage composting in Landfill is not giving benefits economic because NPV value is negative and PI < 1, its caused investment > income and the time of project is the short. So that composting in Piyungan final disposal is not feasible. So that composting can giving benefits and feasible, so could increase raw material compost and to make longer time of project up to ten years. Cost of landfilling with ekxisting preparation is Rp. 244.013.778. Although cost of landfilling with eksisting preparation improvement is Rp. 173.022.696, so that reduce the cost of final diasposal amounting to Rp 70.991.082 each years. text
