However from various studies its activity is still very weak. The formulation of Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC) soursop leaf extract was prepared as an effort to increase antioxidant activity. Optimization was began with screening of lipids and emulsifiers. Formulation of soursop leaves extract-loaded NLC was carried out using one-way ANOVA statistical analysis and the Box-Behnken Experimental Design. Morphology, particles size, polydispersity index, zeta potential, entrapment efficiency, and stability test was conducted to characterize and evaluate the NLC. Evaluation of antioxidant activity was carried out using the 2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrilhydrazil (DPPH) method. The optimal formulation was obtained by extract loaded NLC with consist of 0,05% soursop leaf extract, cetyl alcohol-olive oil lipid pairing in a total amount of 8%, and stabilized with a non-ionic surfactant pair Tween 80- Plantacare in a total amount of 5%. The optimal formulation provides particle sizes in the range of 190-250 nm with a polydispersity index value less than 0.5, potential zeta of -27,7±6,7 mV and an entrapment efficiency of 89%. Box-behnken experiment result shown optimal formula using lipid and surfactant in 7:4 ratio. Storage at 25o C preserves physical stability of NLC for one month. Antioxidant activity evaluation showed a 4-fold improvement in activity compared to unencapsulated soursop leaf extract. text
