According to Bandung City Regulation No. 17 of 2012, one of the areas in Bandung with a high intensity of plastic bag use is the market. As solution to this issue, the Bandung City Government is working with Perumda Pasar Juara and GIDKP launched the Plastic Free and Environmentally Friendly Market Movement in Bandung City’s traditional market. Community social behavior is crucial in order to reduce the usage of single-use plastic bags in Bandung’s traditional market. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the factors that influence behavioral intention to reduce the use of single-use plastic bags in Bandung using the extended Theory of Planned Behavior model and make recommendation based on these result. A quantitative study using a questionnaire was employed with total sample of 140 people who were consumers in the Kosami and Cihapit market. The result shows a positive relationship between attitude toward behavior and perceived behavioral control towards the behavioral intention. The most significant determinant of behavioral intention to reduce the usage of single-use plastic bags is attitude toward behavior. text
