Description
Summary:The Process of logistic transportation via sea lane has been carried out since ancient times. As the times progressed, international trade became inevitable. Globalization era not only triggers technological developments, but also international trade through imports and exports. This condition stimulates the production of container ships with capability to carry out massive amount of loads. One of the biggest challenges in the container ship manufacturing process is to design and analyze the ship structures itself. Finite Element Analysis enables us to perform structural analysis more accurately and comprehensively. In this final project, the design process and structural analysis of 40000 DWT (3000 TEU) Container Ship has been done, with sagging and hogging load case being the main focus and equivalent stress as the output.
