INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/70756 Rapid population growth causes pressure on water sources, both in quantity and quality. This condition is exacerbated by the phenomenon of climate change that encourages the occurrence of a water crisis. The phenomenon of a clean water crisis in Pontianak City is supported by a decrease in the quality of the main raw water source. Various efforts to maintain the quality of water sources are carried out by the government, but there have been no significant efforts that had an impact in the long term. The reuse of wastewater can be an effort to maintain the quality of sustainable water sources because it prioritizes the principle of preservation rather than exploitation of available water resources. Wastewater reuse is part of urban water management in general applied at the individual or community level. Decentralized urban water management systems are proving to be a solution that prioritizes conditions of sustainability and resilience in water resource management. Thus, a decentralized water reuse system is an efficient solution to maintain the quality of water sources in Pontianak City. The purpose of this study was to select alternative decentralized household wastewater reuse systems that are sustainable in Pontianak City by assessing research criteria and indicators. The method used is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with a paired comparison assessment questionnaire. There are 6 criteria and 23 indicators used in the selection of the system. The Social Criterion (S) occupies the first level of importance with 0,26 global weight. This suggests that the social aspect is an indication that must be considered in the selection of the system. The assessment of the indicators resulted in 6 priority indicators consisting of Environmental Awareness (L2) with 0,128 global weight; User Benefit (E2) with 0,111 global weight; Public Admissions (S1) with 0,099 global weights; Public Participation (S2) with 0,088 global weight; Local Socioeconomic and Regulatory Conformity (S3) with 0,073 global weight; and Operating and Maintenance Costs (F2) with 0,062 global weight. The chosen alternative to a decentralized home wastewater reuse system is a system managed by the community so that the supporting facilities must be scattered and within the reach of community settlements. The purpose of using reclaimed water is for non-potable activities and maintaining the quality of raw water sources in Pontianak City. The wastewater reuse system is an advanced system of the existing wastewateriv treatment system in the form of communal WWTP. Then a Scoring Analysis is carried out to determine the recommended location as location for implementing the system. The location must be within a residential area with certain considerations such as whether the residential area is a riverside settlement area or is in an area with a high level of sanitation risk. The benchmark of indicators with a high degree of importance is also a factor in determining the location. 9 selected locations are considered for the implementation of a decentralized wastewater reuse system in Pontianak City, but only 1 location with high priority, namely Tambelan Sampit, East Pontianak. Meanwhile, in realizing the implementation of a sustainable decentralized household wastewater reuse system managed by the community in Pontianak City, it is necessary to consider several things such as, establishing regulations that support the system technically and financially; raising environmental awareness in the community; adjusting the purpose of reuse of reclaimed water to local rules and values; providing a clear legal framework and rules within society; and carry out equitable construction of wastewater treatment facilities. text |

Rapid population growth causes pressure on water sources, both in quantity and
quality. This condition is exacerbated by the phenomenon of climate change that
encourages the occurrence of a water crisis. The phenomenon of a clean water
crisis in Pontianak City is supported by a decrease in the quality of the main raw
