Description
Summary:Gas Machine Power Plant Bangkanai was built above 5 acre land in Sub-District Lahei, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan. Around power plant there wasn’t any storage that could contain run-off water from rain. Therefore i tis necessary to build water pond to contain all the run-off water. The power plant already has drainase system which need to be evaluated for its performance. The return period used to calculate the run-off is 2 years and using Log Pearson-III Method. The hydrograph is obtained from SWMM modelling with 4 hours of rain. The result of the modelling is all sewer can contain the flood but there is some sewer which has velocity above maximum velocity. Based on the modelling result it is required to build current-breaker structure to slow down the velocity. Due to the steep land, there is also ladder structure between sewer BB4-B and B-Outlet. The water pond has total volume of 8.773,52 m3, large enough to contain the total runoff volume of 6.183,00 m3 with the condition that the poo lis empty. The water surface of the pool is kept at 1,50 m depth. There is a pump at water pond to help control the water elevation inside the pond. In case the water is flooding, the pump will wash the water into road drainage in the northwest side of the power plant
