There are so many more small factories and even home-scale factories that are not registered. Nonetheless, the denim production process requires a lot of water usages, energies, and chemicals (especially the dyeing process). Furthermore, there are factory waste that can be categorized into: production waste such as denim scraps, unsold denim stocks, and post-consumer denim waste. Denim factories in West Java normally discard or sell the denim scraps for other applications like doll fillings, insect repellent material, gips material, and other applications. It is just so wasteful to discard this popular strong and durable fabric that the production causes a lot of bad environmental impacts. These denim scraps wastes could be put to a better use. Therefore, there is a need of a products that utilize these denim scraps wastes with a better value text |
