Description
Summary:The city of Surabaya is a city located in the coastal area of East Java Province, precisely on the east coast. In order to prevent abrasion, Surabaya has mangrove forests that grow on the east coast of Surabaya City (Pamurbaya). Apart from having the function of preventing abrasion, the mangrove forest that grows in the Pamurbaya area also functions as an ecotourism destination for residents of Surabaya, as well as people from outside of Surabaya who visit Surabaya. The city of Surabaya itself has 2 (two) mangrove ecotourism destinations, namely Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism (Ekowisata Mangrove Wonorejo) and Gunung Anyar Mangrove Ecotourism (Ekowisata Mangrove Gunung Anyar). To support tourism activities in these two destinations, tourism infrastructure with good quality and has ideal service quality is needed, so that visitors who come to both of the mangrove ecotourism destinations can visit comfortably, because they are supported by well-functioning tourism infrastructure. This research will raise the issue of visitor perceptions of these tourism infrastructures, so that it can be identified which tourism infrastructures need special attention and then recommendations for future development can be given. This research will use mixed-methods approach, where the analytical methods used are descriptive statistics, Importance Performance Analysis, qualitative descriptive analysis, and cross-tabulation analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are still several tourism infrastructures that need to be given special attention to the two mangrove ecotourism destinations, either because the related tourism infrastructure is not available, or the service quality of the tourism infrastructure still does not meet the expectations of the visitors. Tourism infrastructures such as road networks, toilets, disaster evacuation routes, modes of public transportation, wooden walkways and so on still require special attention to be provided or improved in quality in order to provide better service to visitors who comes to both of the mangrove ecotourism destinations.
