In this research, silicalite-1 zeolite was succesfully synthesized. Silicalite-1 composite membrane was prepared by coating silicalite-1 layer on bentonite membrane support material. Silicalite-1 composite membrane was used for separation of Cu2+ ions as model for wastewaters treatment by this system. The results showed that silicalite-1 – bentonite composite membrane can be used for separation of Cu2+ ions although its performance was not adequate yet. text |
