Operated under one of the Kontraktor Production Sharing (KPS) in Indonesia since 1972, the operation of the field was ceased since 2013 due to not meet commercial cut-off. Gas Wellhead Compressor technology is one of effective application for mature/abandoned gas field that will enable the gas field to be economically reactivated and resume field production. The optimum Gas Wellhead Compressor location plays a vital role, not only in terms of production but also will maximize opportunity while minimizing costs and risks. This research is aimed to assist the project team in deciding the optimum placement of the Gas Wellhead Compressor unit through the development of innovative criteria, the identification of all viable options, and the execution of an alternative selection process. The Value Focus Thinking concept is used to guide the steps for the decision-making process, the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Polling technique is utilized to gather all required data from the project team and Subject Matter Expert (SME), and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology is selected to select the best alternative of all possible. text |
