Al-Quran memorization is commonly done with the help of teacher or mentor to assign achievement target and verify the quality of one’s Al-Quran memorization. This method has limitations when the memorizer is not provided with a mentor. There are some mobile application available to support Al-Quran memorization, specifically for unsupervised ones. However, the existing applications are still lacking in interactivity causing them to be less motivating for memorizers to finish their Al-Quran memorization. Therefore, this study aims to develop a mobile application interaction design to help its users memorize Al-Quran. Player-centered design approach was used in the design process to gamify Al-Quran memorization method and technique most suitable for the target users in order to increase user’s motivation. The study has an output of a high-fidelity prototype designed to be effective to use, having a good utility, motivating, and helpful as its usability and user experience goals. The output was then evaluated against the appropriate usability metrics through a usability testing resulting in a Success Rate at 85.83% (effectivity), UMUX-Lite score of 87.5 (utility), IMI score of 5.72, and PCS score of 5.88 (helpful). It is concluded that the designed prototype has met its usability and user experience goals. text
