INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/72171 In today's digital era, the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is very important, judging from the widespread use of smartphones and various smart gadgets as well as technological convergence in all fields. The development of ICT is increasing progressively in various fields due to the ease of accessibility which can be accessed anywhere at any time. The city of Bandung is a smart city that has implemented ICT in its government to provide effective public services in the digital era since 2018. Although the main purpose of using ICT in government is to provide fast public services and improve people's quality of life, there is still a focus on the tourism sector considering that tourism is closely related to socio-cultural phenomena. Moreover, the city of Bandung is a tourist destination with the highest visits in West Java Province. Identification regarding the implementation of the smart tourism concept in the city of Bandung is needed from the side of the government as policy makers and visitors as end user, as well as how the relevance of the role of the smart tourism concept related to sustainability in smart city in order to emphasize the clarity of definition and a comprehensive approach to the three dimensions of smart city (smart branding, smart governance and smart living) and six components of sustainable smart tourism destinations (attraction, accessibility, amenity, availability, activity, and ancillary services) as the convergence of smart cities and smart tourism in the city of Bandung. By using an exploratory sequential research design, this study examined smart tourism from the government sector, infrastructure and visitors to conceptualized sustainable touristic city. The results of this study show the implementation of smart tourism from the Bandung City government environment has been carried out with the main concentration on digitizing tourism services. This can be seen from the infrastructure side, where the Bandung City government is still focusing on the development of intangible smart tourism infrastructure, while tangible smart tourism infrastructure is still behind in its development. Meanwhile, trials for the procurement of tangible smart infrastructure in the city of Bandung are still being vi carried out in a limited manner in the Dago, Dipatiukur and Braga trial areas. From the visitor perspective, digital services provided by the government cannot be used optimally by visitors in meeting their needs while traveling in the city of Bandung due to the ineffective socialization of smart tourism digital services to visitors so that visitors prefer to use digital services provided by private parties. The output of this study is the conceptualization of the sustainable touristic city model as a contribution to the development of tourism in the city of Bandung in terms of developing sustainable smart tourism destinations. text
