This circumstance may leave employees feel uncomfortable and generate a sense of insecurity. It might affect employees' perceived organizational support and their motivation, which may also affect their performance. Whereas the technology startup business in Indonesia is growing rapidly and has become an investment destination that has a positive impact on the Indonesian economy. Therefore, since employees are an essential asset for a company and technology startup is an industry that makes a significant contribution to the economy, it is important to know the conditions of perceived organizational support and motivation: autonomous and controlled motivation among technology startup company employees. This study also examines the impact of perceived organizational support on autonomous and controlled motivation. Although similar research has been conducted, research on startup companies and post-Covid 19 conditions has so far not been found. Data collection method in this study using a questionnaire. The number of respondents is 279 employees from technology startup companies across Indonesia. The analysis uses a simple linear regression method. The results show that the perceived organizational support, autonomous motivation and controlled motivation of employees in technology startup companies are all in the moderate category. Moreover, the results indicate that perceived organizational support has a significant impact on autonomous motivation, but doesn’t have a significant impact on controlled motivation. The insignificant impact of perceived organizational support on controlled motivation may be due to certain characteristics and the interactions that take place in startup companies. text |
