Summary: | This study develops a DC voltmeter device that can be used by visuallyimpaired
students in physics laboratory activities at school. This voltmeter
device can present data in visual form by showing numbers on the screen
along with the audio so that the measured data can be accessed by visuallyimpaired
students. This voltmeter consists of hardware compiled using the
Arduino platform and software in the form of a smartphone application. The
hardware and software of this voltmeter are connected via Bluetooth
communication using the HC-06 Bluetooth module. The test results show that this
voltmeter can measure DC voltage properly and has an average relative error
percentage of 3.3%. The Audible Voltmeter was also implemented in a special
school along with supporting learning media in the form of tactile graphics dan
resulted in positive responses from visually-impaired students |
