In practice, scientific thinking also influences batik, such as the presence of chemicals in the batik processing proces. The latest is the implementation of fractals in the process of making batik motifs. The practice of fractal batik provides new opportunities for traditional batik industry players amidst the waning public interest in traditional batik. However, various problems arise from the birth of fractal innovations such as the rejection of culturalists and traditional batik makers that the presence of fractal batik is feared to shift traditional practices that have been taking place. By conducting case studies on various findings in the field and secondary data, it's hoped that it will be able to describe the dynamics of the problem from the presence of fractal batik innovations. Based on the results of the case study, it was found that the formation of three camps (traditional batik makers, fractal batik entrepreneurs, fractal mathematicians) with strong characteristics on a particular focus indicates that there has been a split. Such practice has the potential to cause harm to one of the actors not relevant to the principle of sustainable development "no one left behind". Using the ANT perspective has founded that joint action from the actors involved was needed to realize sustainable batik practices. text |
