Indonesia has a rapidly growing construction industry that is in line with the increasing infrastructure needs. In the development of the infrastructure, there are still many problems faced by role holders in construction development, especially contractors, namely generating waste or waste with the main factor causing it being the design change factor. The solution to this inefficiency is the use of work structuring tools that focus on applying the flow principle to provide a seamless workflow. There is previous research related to the implementation of work structuring, but it is suspected that the constraints do not create structural stages and the implementation is not based on the ideal. This research maps the stages of work structuring based on three main kinds of literature, namely initial supply chain mapping, design flow, supply flow, work front structuring, and analyzing work structuring. Furthermore, it analyzes the suitability of the project in applying the ideal engineering stages and criteria. The results of the analysis showed that the project was not suitable for applying the stages with an accumulation of 46.667% and the ideal engineering criteria with an accumulation of 74.19%. This gap in the stages and criteria of the ideal technique means that the project should prepare a supply chain map, determine buffers, create a workflow with software, check sheets for the suitability of technical criteria, involve suppliers pursuing lean conditions, joint learning with suppliers to other projects, provide alternative design operations, and focus on quality control and design operations to apply the work structuring technique ideally.
