Summary: | Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP) is one of the conservation areas in
West Java Province that has natural attractions that are popular with the public. One of
the leading tourist destinations in the TNGGP area that has the highest number of visits
is Situ Gunung Sukabumi Nature Park. This is indicated by the increase in the number
of visits to Situ Gunung Sukabumi Nature Park during the five-year period (2014-2019)
which increased by 1,783.65%. The development of this tourist area shows very rapid
progress, it is feared that the number of visitors who come will continue to increase.
Therefore, it is necessary to regulate the number of visitors based on the carrying
capacity of the environment. This study aims to analyse visitor trends and their impact
on environmental and socio-economic conditions, analyse the carrying capacity value
and effective management in TWA Situ Gunung Sukabumi, and create an optimal and
sustainable visitor queue model for TWA Situ Gunung Sukabumi. The methods used
were carrying capacity value analysis, management effectiveness tracking tools and
visitor queue model. The results showed that the visitor trend increased for each
additional unit of time. It was recorded that the number of visitors in 2014 was 16,126
people and it is estimated that in 2029 the number of visitors to TWA Situ Gunung
Sukabumi was 439,851 people. In 2014 with 16,126 visitors, the estimated amount of
waste in Situ Gunung Sukabumi TWA was 12,900.8 litres/day and if the number of
visitors in 2029 which has been calculated based on visitor trends is 439,851 people
then the amount of waste in Situ Gunung Sukabumi TWA is 351,880.8 litres/day. In
addition, the increasing number of visitors also has a positive impact on the socioeconomic
situation of the community as shown by the livelihoods of the community
before the existence of TWA Situ Gunung Sukabumi, namely farmers, agricultural
labourers and factory employees, while after the existence of TWA Situ Gunung
Sukabumi the livelihoods of the community have changed to traders, tourist
motorbikes, tourist boats, guides and local transportation with an average monthly
income equivalent to or even more than the minimum wage of Sukabumi Regency
which amounts to Rp. 3,125,444. The results of the carrying capacity analysis at TWA
Situ Gunung Sukabumi found that the lake has a maximum capacity of 626 people, suspension bridge 98 people and curug sawer 113 people. The results of the METT
analysis showed that the level of effectiveness of the management of TWA Situ
Gunung Sukabumi was 84.9% which was included in the effective category.
Furthermore, the optimal and sustainable visitor queue model is for lake destinations
with an ECC capacity of 626 people with an arrival rate of 626 people / hour having a
visit length of 60 minutes, suspension bridge has a maximum visit length of 33 minutes
with an allocation of arrival rate of 1178 people / hour, and curug sawer has a maximum
visit length of 34 minutes 36 seconds with an allocation of arrival rate of 196 people /
hour. |
