| Summary: | In 2012, kuttab educational institutions gained popularity in Indonesia. This
educational institution, along with the madrasa, serves as an illustration of the
classical Islamic educational model. Compared to conventional education, this
educational model is avant-garde and unusual. This is because the educational
foundation is built on the Qur'an, hadiths, and the books of Salafus Shalih, which
do not prioritize things and assessments that are too measurable and standardized.
As a result, this research was conducted. In order to support this educational model,
this research explores the breakthroughs and characteristics of classical Islamic
education that can influence designers' understanding of its interior design. This
research is descriptive in nature, will be evaluated qualitatively and, if feasible,
quantitatively in some aspect.
