Film is a moving image that has many functions such as communication, art, and has its own historical value because it can describe an era. Especially independent films that don't follow the mainstream of commercial streams, have the freedom to touch on issues that are closely related to Indonesia. The progress of the national film industry is not only seen from the high number of moviegoers but also the audience's appreciation of the entire film industry. One of the most significant indicators of the development of independent film in Indonesia is the emergence of various independent film communities. However, Indonesia's independent film community is still facing a number of challenges. By forming a forum for production, appreciation and education, it is hoped that it will become a means of interaction so that you can fully experience films and facilitate production activities up to screening Indonesian independent films and storing film archives as valuable national treasures.
