ANALYSIS OF TRAVEL TIME FOR PEOPLE'S MOVEMENT TO WORK IN THE CITY OF BANDUNG

With continous high population growth, causing a high volume of vehicles and mobility that occours due to more and more activities so that traffic jams cannot be avoided. The high use of private vehicles and online transportasion is one of the cause of congestion. With the quality and quantity of pucblic transportasion service that are still lacking, the people of Bandung City are reluctant to use public transportation. This can be influenced by the distance and travel time from the location of residence and the main activities of the community. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim to find out what variables can affect the travel time of people’s movements in the city of Bandung. Based on the results of the questionnaire and factor analysis, there were 2 groups of factors with 6 variabels that influenced travel time, namely the choice of transportasion mode (private vehicle and online transportation), distance traveled, expenses, amount of income and statisfaction with security, comfort and satisfaction with proximity to the location of residence.
