Summary:PT KPI is the refining & petrochemical sub-holding company of PT Pertamina (Persero) that manage investments and runs Pertamina’s businesses in refining oil and gas to produce high-valueable products. Based on PT. KPI experiences, offently projects suffer delays and cost overruns which affect the quality of the project. This final project aimed to evaluate the project execution strategy DBC as strategy to improve project execution. This final project starts with the identification of the issue. To explore the business issue author will review and analyze the data to have broader informations which item contribute to cost overruns, change order and delays. From there the author will do an analysis using the Kepner-Trego (KT) Situation Analysis to identify Decision Analysis, Problem Analysis and Potential Problem Analysis. After the problem analysis has been identified, it will be evaluated using the 5Whys Cause-Effect Diagram method to find out the main/root cause analysis and propose solutions to overcome the problem. After that the series of data were analyzed using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Finally author will propose solution and implementation of alternative project execution strategy. The results showed that DBC strategy is the solution for PT. KPI to improve the execution of the project mainly in terms of duration and quality. The conclusion and recommendation of the study are that in order successfully executed DBC, PT. KPI should engage several strategic decisions which include organizational restructuring, resource allocation, and stakeholder management
