Description
Summary:The Mandalika Special Economic Zone (Kawasan Mandalika) located in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has been designated as a super-priority national tourism destination in Indonesia. This move has spurred the provincial government of NTB, specifically the tourism authorities, to attract tourists, particularly international travelers. With the goal of increasing tourist arrivals, this needs to be accompanied by infrastructure enhancements, including air transportation. Adequate international flight routes are crucial to reach foreign tourists. Currently, Lombok Airport has two international flight routes connecting to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The limited availability of these international flight routes necessitates the expansion of international routes in Lombok. In pursuing the development of international flight routes, the involvement of relevant stakeholders is essential to bring this to fruition. The aim of this research is to analyze stakeholder engagement in the process of developing international flight routes using the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method. To conduct the analysis, interview data with stakeholders regarding the stages of the route development process at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport in Lombok is gathered. Subsequently, this study visualizes the network mapping results concerning stakeholder involvement in the international flight route development process. The findings reveal that the highest value of involvement is observed between the tourism authority and airlines, followed by the airport's engagement with airlines. The involvement between the airport and the tourism authority comes next. Notably, the tourism authority and airlines have significant relational values during the route development activities phase. Meanwhile, the airport holds a strong relational value during the route implementation phase.
