Description
Summary:The development of a Scrum learning model through gamification using the Battleship board game aims to evaluate the effectiveness of gamification in Scrum methodology education and to explore if it can serve as a more engaging and enjoyable alternative to traditional theoretical learning methods. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and surveys completed by twenty respondents. The study's findings indicate that the use of gamification via the Battleship board game in Scrum methodology education enhances the subjects' knowledge and understanding of the Scrum method, and also increases their engagement and interaction in the learning process. These conclusions are supported by calculations using normality tests on the data and nonparametric tests to verify the research hypothesis. The results from both the normality and nonparametric tests bolster the conclusion that the use of gamification through the Battleship board game in Scrum methodology education provides a significant and positive difference in the enhancement of knowledge, understanding, and engagement of the participants. Therefore, this study concludes that the use of gamification via the Battleship board game in Scrum methodology education can be an effective and enjoyable alternative learning method.
