Description
Summary:Production allocation from layer produced in commingle well is one of important point should be known for production optimization. This production allocation depends on well and reservoir characteristics itself. This paper provides factors affecting on production allocation for commingled well system without crossflow, for single-phase reservoir (oil phase). A reservoir model was developed by using CMG simulator in order to study the behavior of well performance. It was assumed that well is in pseudo steady-state condition with strong water driving mechanism. Testing was being run by varying reservoir properties such as the permeability, perforation interval, and productive layer thickness. Because of one-phase reservoir model condition, the reservoir pressure must be higher than the bubble point pressure. Investigating factors that affecting on production allocation are approached by using transmissivity ratio, i.e. the ratio between kh layer i with kh total from analytic calculation compared to rate from layer i to total rate from simulation running result. In this specific case, this study considers only two-layered reservoirs as the model. In this study, a reservoir radial model was used employing synthetic data derived from many sources. The first goal of this paper is to give consideration in production optimization for commingled well system.
