PT XY's primary business service is the sale of consumable parts, which contributes 90% of the company's total revenue. In its operational processes, PT XY has encountered several issues due to poor inventory management, non-integrated information systems, and a lack of centralized databases. The identified root problems can be addressed by adopting an ERP system within the company. Therefore, this research aims to design an open-source ERP information system for the sales process of air compressor consumable parts at PT XY. An open-source ERP system was chosen to align with PT XY's current resource constraints. The ERP system development process in this research combines methodologies from Sumner (2014) ERP system development process and the framework for the application of system thinking (FAST) with the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) system development approach introduced by Whitten and Bentley (2007). In the research methodology, there is a system requirement analysis phase that refers based on the development of customer-centered implementation method by Jansson and Jonsson (2015). The research steps conducted sequentially include system requirement analysis, business process design, and ERP prototype development. The result of the ERP system design is a prototype that utilizes modules for purchasing, accounting, sales, dashboard, and inventory. Subsequently, the ERP prototype undergoes testing to ensure its alignment with the established design. Testing is carried out by verifying the prototype based on system requirements and validating it together with problem owner. The results of the ERP system design, along with its prototype, demonstrate that the ERP system can assist the company in reducing document creation and recapitulation process time, lowering the company's operational costs, improving the quality of inventory data and operational documents, and enhancing operational decision-making processes. text
