INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/77980 This research comprehensively analyzes the airside incoming cargo operations of PT. Xyz at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport using the DMAIC methodology. The current on-time performance (OTP) of 88.03% suggests room for improvement. Process capability metrics revealed a potential to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements; however, process misalignment, high Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), and a Sigma Level of the current process indicated significant opportunities for improvement. Root causes for the sub-optimal performance of airside incoming cargo operations is identified using the Current Reality Tree (CRT). Value-added analysis is conducted to further revealed several Non-Value Added (NVA) and Necessary but Non-Value Added (NNVA) activities, thus identifying potential areas for improvement. The "Improve" phase proposed solutions that includes flexible equipment acquisition, manpower optimization, enhanced training, and improvement of standardization. Suggestions were also made to reduce NVA and NNVA activities via integrated information systems and operational guidelines. A control plan was also developed to ensure regular monitoring and maintenance of the improved operations, aligning process variables with industry best practices. Despite data access limitations, the study presents robust recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and competitiveness for PT. Xyz in the airside incoming cargo handling industry. text
