| Summary: | Bongkrek acid (BA) and toxoflavin (tox) are poisons produced by the bacteria Pseudenanas-cocovenenans. The effect of BA and Tox in animals (8) and P.cocovenenans (11) which have different respiration systems, has been studied. The purpose of this experiments is to get further information on mode and site of action of BA and tox by using Gandida-lypolitica as comparator. G.lypolitica have in comon with P.cocovenenans in its capability by using carbohydrat and lipid as carbon and energy source, and to animals in its respiration cycle system. BA effect the metabolism if the substrat is lipid, but the effect of tox are still not known due of its unspecipic notion. From this experiment it was concluded that the site of action of BA and tox might be at respiratory cycle.ifferent respiration systems, has been studied. |
