Description
Summary:Abstract :

Separation and simultaneous determination by reversed phase - paired ion high performance liquid chromatography of a mixture of vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, niacinamide, folic acid and ascorbic acid in tablets have been carried out. The result showed that each vitamin can be properly separated. The recovery meet the requirement except for folic acid and was (112.94 +/- 1.08)% for vitamin B1, (100.93 +/- 0.56)% for vitamin B2; (101.04 +/- 1.05)% for vitamin B6, (98.69 +/- 0.31)% for niacinamide, (98.46 +/- 0.73)% for ascorbic acid in tablets without folic acid, and was (104.46 +/- 4.05)% for vitamin B1, (100.93+/-1.20)% for vitamin B2, (98.71 +/- 1.60)% for vitamin B6, (104.66 +/- 0.54)% for niacinamide, (53.56 +/- 0.25)% for folic acid and (101.71 +/- 4.41)% for ascorbic acid in those with folic acid. The content of each compound in commercial tablets without folic acid was (113.38 +/- 1.39)% for vitamin B1, (103.42 +/- 1.15)% for vitamin B2, (108.99 +/- 1.69)% for vitamin B6, (97.25 +/- 1.76)% for niacinamide, (99.52 +/- 0.82)% for ascorbic acid and in those with folic acid was (101.40 +/- 1.20)% for vitamin B1, (113.85 +/- 1.50)% for vitamin B2, (95.10 +/- 2.82)% for vitamin B6, (104.79 +/- 1.79)% for niacinamide, (66.46 +/- 3.18)% for folic acid and (100.34 +/- 1.77)% for ascorbic acid..
