Description
Summary:PT Lintas Mediatama (PT LIMA) is a company which operates in the advertising industry. PT LIMA was chosen by PT S as the contractor responsible for the procurement and installation of LED Media Wall Façade & Panoramic Elevator Mall. Unfortunately, the project was delayed in completion from the predetermined time. This thesis aims to find the root of the problem and find solutions and lessons learned that can be used by the company in reducing the root of the problem and preventing and minimizing delays that may occur in future projects. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by conducting interviews with parties directly involved with the project. The Current Reality Tree is the method used in finding the root of the problem in this project. The root causes of this project delay are lack of stakeholder management because of not identifying and engaging stakeholders regularly, lack of communication management because of miscommunication due to lack of communication and ineffective coordinations due to lack of monitoring communications, lack of resources management because of lack of competence and experience in documentation (progress report). To address the root causes, this study proposes to implement project management contained in PMBOK 6th edition. The proposed business solutions are reviewing the stakeholder community and engagement regularly, making a stakeholder engagement plan and followed by reviewed and updated regularly, communicating and monitoring regularly with the new stakeholder using appropriate communication channels such as onsite and online meetings, setting expectations early on managing new stakeholders, create a communication management plan and be reviewed regularly and modified if necessary, implement and routinely monitoring communications to make sure the coordinations between stakeholders is implemented effectively, provide training to appropriate team members regarding documentation, and conduct documentation regarding knowledge sharing information.
