Despite Flutter's rapid popularity, some companies may still opt for more established technologies in the industry. This case study within the FMCG industry aims to analyze the quality of applications built by leveraging Flutter's technological advantages in cross- platform application development. The success of implementing this technology is assessed through portability testing as one of the key software quality characteristics according to ISO 25010. The objective of this testing is to measure the extent to which the built application can consistently and responsively function across various platforms. Throughout the SI development process, various challenges and opportunities arise. Building applications with Flutter allows for the use of the same code for web, iOS, Android, and desktop platforms such as Windows and MacOS, saving development time and resources. However, portability evaluation becomes crucial as differences between operating systems and devices may impact the application's quality and performance. Portability testing of the built application will be conducted using metrics such as platform compatibility, functional suitability, platform-specific code, and responsiveness to screen sizes. The test results indicate that the application meets the specified functionality, and it demonstrates a high level of portability with a score exceeding 90 on a scale of 100. These scores are obtained based on the average test values for each metric. The findings of this research are expected to provide practical guidance for FMCG companies or similar industries interested in leveraging Flutter technology for IS development. The conclusions drawn from portability testing will offer insights into how well this technology can be adopted and integrated within dynamic business contexts, reinforcing software development decisions based on diverse market needs and expectations. text |

The development of Information Systems (IS) using Flutter technology has become a primary
focus in efforts to enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of operational processes,
particularly in industries such as Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies.
Despite Flutter's rapid popularity, some companies may still opt for more established
technologies in the industry. This case study within the FMCG industry aims to analyze
the quality of applications built by leveraging Flutter's technological advantages in cross-
platform application development. The success of implementing this technology is
assessed through portability testing as one of the key software quality characteristics
according to ISO 25010. The objective of this testing is to measure the extent to which
the built application can consistently and responsively function across various platforms.
Throughout the SI development process, various challenges and opportunities arise. Building
applications with Flutter allows for the use of the same code for web, iOS, Android, and
desktop platforms such as Windows and MacOS, saving development time and
resources. However, portability evaluation becomes crucial as differences between
operating systems and devices may impact the application's quality and performance.
Portability testing of the built application will be conducted using metrics such as
platform compatibility, functional suitability, platform-specific code, and responsiveness
to screen sizes.
The test results indicate that the application meets the specified functionality, and it
demonstrates a high level of portability with a score exceeding 90 on a scale of 100.
These scores are obtained based on the average test values for each metric. The findings
of this research are expected to provide practical guidance for FMCG companies or
similar industries interested in leveraging Flutter technology for IS development. The
conclusions drawn from portability testing will offer insights into how well this
technology can be adopted and integrated within dynamic business contexts, reinforcing
software development decisions based on diverse market needs and expectations. |
