| Summary: | The rapid and dynamic development of jewelry design encourages designers to
collaborate with craftsmen to continue to develop innovation and uniqueness of
jewelry design as a characteristic and strength of an industry. One of the cultural
forms that will be raised in the writing of this thesis is the Parwati statue. Parwati
is depicted with light blue skin, long and slender hands, big eyes and a beautiful
and perfect body, and dressed in yellow silk or cloth with lotus decorations and
various jewelry. In this research, the jewelry to be made is inspired by Arca
Parwati which will be used for the design of accessories. The design of
accessories design in this research is made in the form of jewelry using ceramic
and metal materials by collaborating contemporary fashion jewelry design with
jewelry worn by Parwati statue. In this research, the target segment of society is
generation Z women aged 20-27 years old. The purpose of this research is to
design and apply contemporary jewelry based on past heritage and identify the
form of past jewelry that can adapt to current trends. The research method used
qualitative and quantitative approaches (mixed method). Data collection
techniques in this study consisted of collecting related literature, observation,
expert interviews, and distributing questionnaires.
