Gas transmission pipeline network from a well to consumers is usually very long because the distance between them is quite far. This fact creates many problems, especially the gas flow behavior in the pipeline. During that follow period, it is often assumed that the gas flow in the pipeline is under steady-state conditions. Line packing is a storing gas process in pipeline by compressing it up to certain pressure which does not exceed the maximum allowable pipe internal pressure. This is possible due to the compressibility of gas. Thus, the pipeline can also be used as gas storage. Hence, if the gas flow rate at the pipes inlet larger than at the outlet (consumer), it means that gas storage in the pipeline has been increased. Therefore, if the pipeline has to be shut down or if there is an increasing gas demand from the consumer, the supply will be guaranteed by using gas store of line packing technique. The filling process is bounded by a Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP) of the pipeline. <br />
