Description
Summary:PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Refinery Unit VI Balongan (PT KPI RU VI) is an oil and gas processing company located in Indramayu Regency. In its implementation, the company not only works in the processing plant but also has an office section that supports the company's operations. One of the office sections in PT KPI RU VI is the Human Capital (HC) Division. The HC Division has the main function of developing human resources at PT KPI RU VI. The work carried out in this division involves human labor with awkward working postures and several potentially dangerous ergonomic factors over a long period and involves repetitive physical movements. This can pose a risk of complaints and disorders of the workers' musculoskeletal system. Therefore, this study aims to design an ergonomics intervention using a hierarchical control model in the HC Division that can reduce the musculoskeletal disorders in workers. The design for improvements to the HC Division of PT KPI RU VI uses the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 9011:2021 document regarding the measurement and evaluation of potential ergonomic hazards in the workplace. There are four parts of work studied, namely, business partner, training, workfoce service, and quality management. The assessment for the four work sections in the HC Division began by conducting observations and distributing a survey of complaints of musculoskeletal disorders among workers to identify ergonomic problems in the workplace. Next, an assessment is carried out of the level of potential ergonomic hazards that occur in each part of the work. From this research, it was found that the four work parts have the ergonomics risk factors in the dangerous category. To overcome this problem, several ergonomic interventions are proposed for each work part in the form of engineering controls. The proposed improvements to overcome several potential dangers that arise can be carried out by protecting the feet, back, and hands, as well as providing work tools that suit workers' needs.
