Description
Summary:Cilegon City faces significant challenges in waste management, requiring better infrastructure to maximize waste processing and reduce negative environmental impacts. This study involved data collection on waste quantity and composition, selection of alternative waste processing and sorting technologies using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Construction and operational cost requirements were also calculated, and economic analysis results were conducted. Based on the 2038 projections, the MRF's design capacity was set at 400 tons per day. The selected processing system alternative is the conversion of mixed waste into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and sorting recyclable waste, utilizing semi-manual sorting technology and drying through the bio drying method. The initial capital cost of the MRF is Rp40,786,680,000.00, with an operational cost reaching Rp9,203,379 per year. Economic analysis results indicate that the project is viable and sustainable.
