Summary: | Information system is a system that can help companies to obtain and manage data
so as to produce information to help make decisions based on the information
obtained. ELS Academy is a basketball academy that improves athlete skills based
on athlete performance. ELS Academy has a problem in determining an inaccurate
training strategy, so that it can result in less than optimal training given to athletes.
This research aims to design information systems and interfaces that can help
determine training strategies based on athlete performance while practicing.
This research uses two methods, such as Prototyping and Usability Testing. The
Prototyping method is used for iterative information design which includes
identifying an end user's business requirements, developing business system
prototypes, revising the prototypes to better meet end-user requirements, and using
and maintaining the accepted business system. Usability testing method is used to
measure the extent to which a system can be used by users so that it can achieve
certain goals. Usability testing is carried out to internal companies by measuring
effectiveness using success rate, efficiency using average time on task, and user
satisfaction using The System Usability Scale questionnaire.
Based on the information system design and usability testing that has been done,
the results of the ELS Academy information system design are validated and
verified against the identification of needs and system improvement objectives of
ELS Academy. Based on the measurement of effectiveness, efficiency, and user
satisfaction, the ELS Academy information system that has been designed can
function effectively, efficiently, and provide user satisfaction with a SUS
questionnaire score of 70.5 out of 100 which has room for improvement to increase
user satisfaction.
