Description
Summary:Education is a crucial pillar for the advancement of a nation. However, the quality of education in Indonesia still faces various challenges, including many children experiencing tantrums at school, difficulties focusing during lessons, poor social interactions among students, and overly indulgent parenting styles. These issues are exacerbated by the heavy workload of teachers and the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education. Emotional intelligence is seen as an appropriate solution to address these challenges, as it can enhance children's ability to control their emotions, be responsible, and stay focused on their education. This research aims to design the interior of an elementary school in Bandung with an emotional intelligence approach. The proposed interior design aims to support the development of children's emotional intelligence and improve positive interactions between students and teachers, thereby creating a conducive and supportive learning environment. The methods used in this research include surveys, observations, interviews, and literature reviews to understand the existing needs and challenges. It is hoped that the design outcomes will provide practical guidance in creating a more positive school environment that supports the entire teaching and learning process to the fullest.
