Summary: | Indonesia has a variety of cultural heritage that is unique to each region.
Culture is not only in the form of traditional dances, traditional clothes and
traditional songs. culinary or traditional food is also a form of cultural
wealth. From traditional food, traditional snacks were born or what is
commonly called traditional market snacks. But over time, traditional
market snacks began to be replaced due to the emergence of food and snacks
from abroad and the reduction of these food producers, so that traditional
snacks began to be rarely found in the market. There is a need for
alternative things that can help introduce traditional market snacks. Lolita
as a Japanese fashion subculture inspired by Rococo era fashion is a
medium of self-expression for its users and also a medium of
communication. Using a textile craft approach, this research adapts the
visuals of traditional market snacks, especially Betawi, as the design of the
Lolita subculture fesyen collection using surface design techniques with the
aim of using new media, namely fashion, to promote and introduce
Indonesian market snacks as Indonesian cultural wealth that should be
preserved and maintained. |
