Description
Summary:Soft soil has low shear strength and high compressibility, thus adversely impacting infrastructure construction. In construction areas with soft soil types, soil improvement is necessary to withstand planned loads and meet planning criteria, both in terms of settlement and slope stability. This final project contains soil improvement design in the perimeter area of Kalibaru reclamation rockbund using Deep Soil Mixing (DSM) to overcome soft soil. Soil improvement planning is carried out referring to SNI 8460:2017 Geotechnical Design Requirements. Soil improvement design begins with determining soil profiles and parameters, DSM analysis, stability analysis, and embankment phasing analysis if needed. Stability analysis is conducted using PLAXIS 2D and SLOPE/W. Vacuum surcharge utilizes PVD with a pressure of 70 kPa. DSM configuration used is a grid with an area replacement ratio of 0.41 and ????????????,???????????????? 135 kPa. The applied surcharge embankment is 6.3 meters for an area with a loading of 32 kPa and 9.9 meters for an area with a loading of 82 kPa with a fill soil unit weight of 18 ????????/????3. Settlement analysis is conducted using Plaxis 2D and Plaxis 3D.
