Employing a discrete choice model, it analyzes preferences for walking when accessing public transportation, incorporating variables such as walking distance, headway, travel time by mode, sidewalk conditions, and the presence of shade trees. The findings highlight the significant impact of walking distance, headway, travel time by mode, sidewalk conditions, and the presence of shade trees on walking behavior. Additionally, attitudes toward walking, education level, income level, and car ownership emerge as significant factors. The model suggests that improvements in public transportation level of service and pedestrian infrastructure increase the number of public transportation users accessing by walking. In conclusion, enhancing public transportation level of service and pedestrian infrastructure is crucial for promoting walking as an access mode to public transportation. Therefore, the government should prioritize pedestrian infrastructure and enhance public transportation service quality to increase the use of public transportation text
