Summary: | Indonesia is a Megabiodiversity country because of its abundant natural wealth, one
of which is Indonesia's diverse fauna because it is crossed by the Weber and Wallace
Lines. However, habitat destruction and illegal hunting have made wild animals
vulnerable and even threatened with extinction. The public needs information about
existing fauna and one of them is education at the Zoological Museum facilities. The
function of the museum itself is as a place of education, recreation, reservation and
preservation, and one of the zoological museums in Indonesia is the Bogor
Zoological Museum which has been established since 1894. This museum contains
various collections, both skeletons and preserved ones, various forms of fauna and
his life. spread throughout Indonesia. However, the facilities in it are still not good
enough to meet the needs and attract the attention of the public. Museums must be
able to keep up with the times and innovate to fulfill their roles and functions.
Therefore, the Bogor Zoological Museum requires a new design with a new
approach. The method used is qualitative by conducting topic analysis and field
surveys. The interior design of this museum will use a multisensory approach,
namely the use of technology in interactive media so that the museum is more
adaptive and informative for the public. |
