Summary: | This study examines at the challenge of sustaining product quality with a limited supplier pool.
PT. Lakto Murni Industri fosters long-term partnerships with current suppliers to ensure that their
products meet constant quality requirements. This dedication to existing relationships provides a
significant benefit in maintaining quality control. However, this technique may result in an
unforeseen consequence: reliance on a single source for crucial raw materials. This overreliance
on a single supplier exposes a weakness in PT. Lakto Murni Industri's supply chain.
To solve this issue, a balanced scorecard (BSC) framework for supplier evaluation at PT. Lakto
Murni Industri was established. The BSC approach evaluates suppliers on a variety of dimensions,
including financial measurements, customer service, internal business process, and learning and
growth. Analyzing the results indicated areas for improvement in the existing supplier network.
This study shows that the BSC framework can be a useful tool for PT. Lakto Murni Industri to
maximize supplier selection even with a small pool. By identifying vulnerabilities and developing
collaboration with existing partners, PT. Lakto Murni Industri may create a more efficient and
resilient supply chain that prioritizes quality without compromising long-term supplier
relationships. |
