This hipotensive effect was not modified by atropini or propanolol pretreatment. At the dose of 100 mg/kg body weight, Jatropha extract reduced the respon of adrenalin, noradrenalin and tyramin in doses of respectively 2, 2, 200 mcg/kg body weight (0C adrenergik reseptor inhibition).

Interaction with yohimbin (0L-adrenolytic) reveales that the extract prolonged the duration of its effect, suggesting that the hypotensive effect of Jatropha curcas L is likely to be mediated via oC adrenolytic mechanism.
text
