The Foodbank of Indonesia (FOI) aims to mitigate this issue by linking surplus food to those in need. However, FOI faces challenges in the efficiency and effectivity of food surplus redistribution processes. This study proposes strategies to enhance the food surplus redistribution business process to bolster food security in Indonesia. Using model-based and integrated process improvement (MIPI) methodology, the research focuses on understanding business requirements, setting improvement goals, mapping initial processes, conducting value-added analysis to identify value-added activities and potential competitive advantages, redesigning processes through improvement formulations, and implementing improvements via project charters. Results indicate successful business process enhancements, achieving goals by reducing process duration by 44,9%, eliminating non-value-added processes (reducing NVA activities to 0%) and enhancing efficiency through optimizing 20 RVA activities to achieve competitive advantages for FOI. These improvements enable FOI to efficiently manage food redistribution programs and maximize benefits for communities in need. text |
