Summary: | In the Kalibaru Terminal Phase 1B Design Work Project, the existing condition of the soil is a slurry soil, causing problems where buildings cannot be directly built on the soil layer because soft clay soil has a very high risk of subsidence when loaded, high consolidation ability, and relatively low bearing capacity. Therefore, soil improvement is needed to overcome this by using the Vacuum Preloading and Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) methods. In this final research project, the effect of using these two methods on the project will be analyzed. The finite element modeling will use PLAXIS 2D by modeling three types of modeling, namely Mohr-Coulomb, Hardening Soil, and Soft Soil. |
