Description
Summary:When opening a pit underground, the safety condition of the pit is of utmost importance for successful mining activities. Therefore, it is very important to know the stress value and direction after excavation of the pit. The stress values and directions are used to analyze the underground stability which determines the value of the safety factor. This final project study aims to find the relationship between FoS and SF in the condition of underground opening hole with variation of K (????????????????????) value and determine whether the rock strength factor can represent the safety factor of the condition. The analysis that has been carried out results in FoS and SF values showing similar trends and are influenced by the value of K (????????????????????). However, the results show differences in the K = 1 condition because the principal stress away from the tunnel has a value close to the insitu stress, causing the SF value to be greater while the FoS value tends to have a stable value.
