With its geography crossing the phenomenon line and its tropical climate, Indonesia has a high potential for lightning. Lightning densities of 8–16 strikes / km2 / year recorded by ITB Gunung Tangkuban Perahu Lightning Research Station, suggesting that Indonesia's power system is vulnerable to lightning interference that could jeopardize its operations. At a location with a high lightning density, the Tegalluar Traction Guard, which is an important component of the High – Speed Railway Jakarta – Bandung network, is under threat. It's easily targeted by lightning lightning because of the facilities of the Main Guard GIS Gede Bage and GI Ujung Berung. The most vulnerable places to the threat of lightning both directly and indirectly are high and open structures such as towers and transmission channels. The existence of multicircuit towers with higher than average heights makes the problem more difficult to handle the risk of lightning interference on the traction bars and transmission channels concerned. In order to maintain the smooth operation of the High – Speed Railway Jakarta – Bandung and ensure the continuity of the power supply to the 27.5 kv utility system, the traction guard is crucial. As the main component of the traction guard, the transformer requires the best protection against lightning interference to prevent significant losses. The main focus of the study is the assessment of the condition of the transmission tower that serves the Tegalluar Traction Guard and the protection configuration against lightning interference. The research also offers recommendations for protection systems that are not only safe but also economical to reduce the impact of lightning on transmission towers and traction shields. Hopefully the results of this research can help improve the operational reliability of High – Speed Railway Jakarta – Bandung Tegalluar. text |
