This Thesis explores the digitalization of used cooking oil collection, focusing on empowering small collectors to serve customers seamlessly. It highlights the need for a digital payment system between collectors and customers to address the challenges faced by small collectors, such as lack of capital and storage issues. The paper emphasizes the importance of creating a user-friendly digital platform that facilitates logistical coordination, enhances the accessibility of collection points, and streamlines communication through a mapped network. Ultimately, the goal is to promote environmentally responsible practices by reclaiming and repurposing used cooking oil within a circular economy. To realize this vision, strategic collaborations must be forged with diverse stakeholders. By leveraging technologies that connect food service businesses, individual customers, and collectors, we can pave the way for a more organized approach to managing used cooking oil, echoing successful initiatives observed in other regions that have highlighted the efficacy of forming networks among various actors in the value chain. To support the establishment of such networks, it's crucial to understand the dynamics between the different stakeholders and identify potential barriers that could inhibit participation, which can lead to improved systems for managing waste cooking oil in a sustainable manner. In particular, the establishment of collection facilities at food service businesses, which has been a challenge in some regions, can be addressed through digital platforms that incentivize participation and streamline logistics, ensuring that collectors have easier access to customers' supplies while fostering cooperation between the various actors involved.
